Seller Info Privacy

Purpose: Describe which “About Seller” elements can be protected via blur and how to configure them. Audience: Product, Developer Prerequisites: blurred_fields configuration for the relevant keys.

Overview

• Potential sections: seller_information, seller_bio, seller_address, seller_rating, seller_verification, seller_contact_info.
• These keys govern UI (no direct columns on listings), but can also control profile data loading when useSelectiveDataLoading.shouldLoadSellerData() returns false.

Behavior by plan

• Unauthenticated / Free: sections can be blurred/disabled according to flags
• Starter/Pro: progressive unlock
• Admin/Owner: bypass

Configuration

• Admin UI → Subscription Plans → Blurred Fields Manager
  • Add/edit seller_* or seller_information keys
  • Toggle by plan

Technical notes

• useSelectiveDataLoading.shouldLoadSellerData() skips loading seller data when seller_information is blurred
• Recommendation: for PII, also mask at source (do not select from DB when the user lacks access)

QA Checklist

• Verify blur on About Seller sections for Unauth/Free
• Verify unlocking on Starter/Pro
• Confirm Admin/Owner bypass
