Business Terms ​
Deal - A transaction in progress between buyer and seller after offer acceptance.
Due Diligence - 14-day period for buyer to verify business claims and financials.
Escrow - Secure holding of buyer funds until transaction completion.
Handover - Process of transferring business assets from seller to buyer.
Listing - A business profile created by seller for marketplace display.
Offer - Buyer's proposal to purchase a business at specific price and terms.
Technical Terms ​
RLS - Row Level Security, database access control mechanism.
RPC - Remote Procedure Call, custom database functions.
Webhook - Automated HTTP callbacks for real-time event processing.
shadcn/ui - React component library built on Radix primitives.
Supabase - Backend-as-a-Service providing database, auth, and storage.
Blur Policy - Data-visibility mechanism that hides sensitive fields based on subscription/role.
blurred_fields - Configuration table controlling which field_key is blurred for unauth/free/starter/pro.
can_view_field - Postgres function that returns whether a user can view a field for a given listing.
listing_view_secure - Database view that projects listing columns with server-side masking using can_view_field.
Platform Roles ​
Admin - Platform moderator with full system access.
Buyer - User purchasing businesses through the platform.
Seller - User listing businesses for sale.
Status Types ​
Active - Live listing available for purchase.
Pending - Awaiting admin review and approval.
Funded - Escrow account successfully charged.
Completed - Transaction finished with asset transfer.
